Not very long ago, actor Kiccha Sudeep received a threatening letter from an anonymous source. The news broke out around the same time the Vikrant Rona actor publicly announced his decision to campaign for Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai and a few select members of the BJP party, ahead of the 2023 Karnataka elections. Many believed and speculated that the letter carrying the threat had some connections to the actor's political affiliations.

Sudeep's close aide, manager and film producer Manjunath Gowda, or Jack Manju, would later file an FIR at the Puttenahalli Police Station of Bengaluru and the case would then be transferred to the Central Crime Branch (CCB), based on the orders of Bengaluru City Commissioner, Pratap Reddy. Sudeep would himself address the issue soon after with the media, sharing that he was well aware of the person behind the letter and alluding that it was someone from within the Kannada Film Industry.

Well, it would seem that the police investigation has finally led to the culprit in relation to the threatening letter. According to the latest reports, the authorities have nabbed a person named Ramesh Shetty, a Kannada film producer and a former close associate of Kiccha Sudeep. The same reports inform us that Ramesh Shetty was heading Sudeep's charitable trust and had even invested as much as Rs. 2 crores in it. However, as Ramesh Shetty claims in his statement to the CCB, the 51-year-old superstar would fail to keep up his end of the deal which, supposedly, caused a disagreement between the two.

Ramesh Shetty is said to have sent out two letters to Kiccha Sudeep's JP Nagar residence in Bengaluru, threatening to release private videos of the actor into the public domain. Reportedly, the authorities believe that there are a few more individuals involved in the case and the investigation, as we speak, is set to continue. More reports to follow soon.
