Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep will be on non-stop work mode, though, now that he’s also kickstarted a new film with Vijay Kartikeyaa
Billa Ranga Baashaa in 2025?

Kiccha Sudeep is currently working on his second collaboration with Vikrant Rona maker Anup Bhandari, Billa Ranga Baashaa, which he’s repeatedly said is a film that’s being made on a massive scale. Set 200 years in the future, it is completely being shot in specially erected sets, for which the team has leased out 8 acres in the outskirts of Bengaluru. Sudeep had to buff up for the role and once he hit the target physique, went on floors and even shot for one schedule.
Billa Ranga Baashaa is currently on a month-long break, a time dedicated in putting up newer sets for the film. Instead of idling away, though, Sudeep has decided to live up to his word of delivering at least 2 films in a span of 18 months. He’s kickstarting a new film with Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa on June 7 in Chennai. This, said Sudeep, is a film that he wants to wrap up as soon as possible and aim for a December 25, 2025 theatrical release.
For this, the actor has requested the producers of Billa Ranga Baashaa to extend the current schedule break by a few days, so that he can devote enough time to Vijay’s film. “It’s going to be tough and once Bigg Boss Kannada starts in late September, I will not even have weekends free, and will be working every day. It’s a tight schedule; it seems an impossible task, but going by the energy of the team, I think we can achieve it,” said Sudeep.
But can audiences expect Billa Ranga Baashaa also this year? “Billa Ranga Baashaa is a very big film and there is no way it can be completed this year. We knew this when we began working on it that it will be a long process. We are creating a world for it, so it will take time. It can’t be a 2025 film,” he said.
