The social media trend '#Kiccha46' has gained traction as new reports regarding Sudeep's 46th film come to light
Following the slightly below-par box office performance of Vikrant Rona, actor Sudeep steered away from the media arc lights and engrossed himself in the Bigg Boss Kannada gig. The senior actor, who turned 50 earlier this year, resumed his hosting duties for the ninth time on the trot on the hugely popular reality show and while he continues to charm the audiences on the small screen, his ardent fans were growing restless to learn a little about his next project.
In this vein, the social media trend '#Kiccha46' has gained traction as new reports regarding Sudeep's 46th film come to light. According to a media outlet, one of south India's biggest production houses, Lyca Productions, has come forward to collaborate with the Kannada actor and the two entities are said to be currently involved in discussions to take things ahead. While one awaits an official confirmation on the same, information concerning the director, the language of production, and other key aspects of this prospective film remain under wraps.
Lyca Productions is a highly-reputed film production and distribution agency that has previously worked with actors Rajinikanth, Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Kamal Haasan. This year alone, Lyca has delivered multiple box office successes in the form of Don, Ponniyin Selvan: I, and Ram Setu and is slated to have a fruitful 2023 with Ponniyin Selvan: II, Shankar's Indian 2, and Vignesh Shivan's AK62 starring Ajith Kumar.
Reportedly, Lyca Productions had approached Sudeep almost two years ago for a high-profile project but the actor was unable to get on board due to scheduling conflicts. However, the actor's recent visit to a renowned temple sparked the rumours that, indeed, a major announcement was around the corner.
As far as Sudeep's next project is concerned, he will be next seen making a special appearance in R. Chandru's pan-India venture Kabzaa (rumoured to release worldwide in February 2023). Sudeep and Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu too are expected to collaborate on a film and the former's brief interaction with Hombale Film's Karthik Gowda too led many to believe that an exciting venture with the makers of Kantara and KGF 2 is in the offing.
