Kiccha Sudeep is sticking to his plan of bringing his next, tentatively called Kiccha47, to theatres for Christmas 2025. In a media briefing ahead of his September 2 birthday, Sudeep clarified that he is on course to complete the film by the end of October and that it will be ready for release for Christmas, a window that he thinks is apt for him, given the success that his last, Max , had found.

“We are done with almost 60% of the film and are shooting day and night to finish within the deadline we’ve set ourselves, without compromising on the quality of the product. I give the credit to this to the entire technical team of the film, who’ve planned everything perfectly for us to be able to work at this pace,” said Sudeep.
In sticking to the current release plan, Sudeep explains that it will help the producer’s to save on the interest being paid on the money invested on the film. “We will save Rs 5-6 cr if we work really well as we are on Kiccha47. We are keeping all of this in mind in ensuring that the film is in theatres in December,” he said.
Sudeep is very clear that there is no way that he will push his film into the next year, which means that he will not only clash with 45, starring Shivarajkumar, Upendra and Raj B Shetty, but will also be in theatres only weeks after Darshan’s The Devil.
“Unlike in Tamil Nadu, where Sankranti/Pongal is an extended celebration, here, it is just the one day. Thereafter, it is exam season and then IPL, which means that we will be able to come to theatres only in June or July. Why would I do that for my film? See, if it was a season with back-to-back holidays, we could all come to an understanding and move our films around, but there is no such window,” he said.
Q. Who is directing Kiccha47?
A. Kiccha47 is being directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa as his sophomore project after last year's Max with Kiccha Sudeep. The film is likely to be in theatres for Christmas 2025.
