The buzz around Salman Khan's Kick 2 is growing, and with Sajid Nadiadwala announcing the movie last year, Bhaijaan's fans have been on edge waiting for more updates. While Salman Khan is surely coming back with Kick 2, it seems like the makers haven’t thought through the supporting cast yet. Randeep Hooda, who played an important role in the first part of the franchise, has revealed that he hasn’t gotten any update about the second part of the film.
The Swatantrya Veer Savarkar star Randeep, in a chat with YouTuber Shubankar Mishra, shared, “Kick 2 bol toh rahe hain aa rahi hai, but pata nahi kab aayegi. Sajid bhai zyada involved rehte hain. Unhone bola tha banayenge, par aisa koi intimation mereko nahi aaya hai. Main uska hissa hoon ya woh ban rahi hai ya nahi ban rahi—unhone kaha tha woh soch rahe hain. Bas itna hi pata hai."
(They keep talking about Kick 2, but no one knows when it’s actually coming. Sajid bhai is usually very involved. He had said he would make it, but I haven’t received any intimation about it. Whether I’m a part of it, or whether it’s being made or not, I have no clue. He just said he’s thinking about it, that’s all I know.)
For those unaware, Kick starred Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Randeep Hooda, and marked Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut. Released in 2014, the movie remains one of the most successful films in Khan’s career and was his first film to enter the Rs 200 crore club. With such a lucrative first film, it was only a matter of time before the filmmaker would consider a sequel—especially in this era of sequels, prequels, and franchises. Randeep and Salman worked together on Radhe too.
In October 2024, Nadiadwala Grandson took to social media, sharing a stunning picture of Salman Khan and announcing Kick 2 with the caption: “It was a great Kick 2 photo shoot, Sikandar….!!! From Grand, Sajid Nadiadwala.”
Salman Khan is currently tracking the box office collection of his recently released magnum opus Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. The movie has been impacted at the box office due to its leak on piracy sites.
