Killer first look out: SJ Suryah returns to direction as he looks suave as an assassin

We had earlier reported that actor-director SJ Suryah will be returning to direction after a long gap. Titled Killer, the film will star himself as the lead actor. On Saturday, the makers released the first look poster of Killer. Preethi Asrani who appeared in Ayothi, will be playing the female lead.

SJ Suryah's last directorial was the 2015 film Isai. Ever since then, he shifted his path and was seen in many acclaimed films with his performances being appreciated. However, he was also asked when he would return to direction. After a gap of 10 years, SJ Suryah announced his next direction titled Killer.

On Saturday, the first look of the film was revealed. The first poster shows SJ Suryah in a black suit as he is seen carrying Preethi Asrani over his shoulders. He points the gun while she holds a couple of roses. The other poster shows SJ Suryah in a sleek avatar holding a rifle. It marks the first time SJ Suryah will be working with Preethi Asrani.

What did SJ Suryah say about Killer?

Speaking about the film, he had said that it will be a "James Bond" kind of film with elements of Kushi. The film will have music by AR Rahman and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Suryah, who made his directorial debut with Ajith Kumar-starrer Vaalee, eventually worked with Vijay and Jyothika in Kushi, and remade the film in Telugu with Pawan Kalayan. As an actor, SJ Suryah’s eccentric performances in films like Maanaadu, Raayan, Monster, Jigarthanda DoubleX and Mark Antony. With the shooting under progress, Killer will be a romantic thriller. It is backed by Malayalam production banner Sree Gokulam Movies, with Suryah serving as co-producer under his banner, Angel Studios. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, he will also be seen in Indian 3, Love Insurance Kompany and Sardar 2.
