Killer Soup - 5 reasons you must watch the Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sensharma starring dark comedy thriller

Partially inspired by real life, Killer Soup, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sensharma, will start streaming on Netflix on January 11. A Telangana woman killed her husband in 2017 and then pretended to be her late spouse. A fatal difference in eating preferences—indicated by a bowl of mutton soup—was what ultimately exposed them.

Storyline

The protagonist of the black comedy crime thriller series Killer Soup is house cook Swati Shetty (Konkona Sen Sharma), who schemes to have her lover Umesh (Manoj Bajpayee) take the place of her husband Prabhakar (also played by Manoj Bajpayee). The main focus of the show, however, is on how they all handle an unexpected upheaval that is part of the plan.

Direction

After directing a segment in the anthology show Ray, Abhishek Chaubey embarks on his first full-length web series with Killer Soup. Proud to have graduated from the Vishal Bhardwaj film school, Chaubey began his career in film in 2002, working with Bhardwaj on the comic horror film Makdee. In addition, he co-wrote the scripts for Bhardwaj's films, including Blood Brothers, Omkara, The Blue Umbrella, and Kaminey. In 2010, he made his directorial debut with Ishqiya. So his direction is expected to be one of the highlights of the show.
