The internet has been witnessing a serious buzz lately about director Anu Menon getting ready to helm Season 4 of the popular British spy thriller Killing Eve Season 4. Even though an official confirmation is yet to be out, the social media activities of the Four More Shots Please! director, add more cement to the base of the news.
Anu has replied to a few tweets that have been congratulating her on her upcoming directorial, which contains a picture of the Killing Eve’s clapper board. She has also liked the retweet of the same by the independent filmmaker Tanvi Gandhi, which almost confirms the buzz. ‘Congrats @anumenon1805!! So happy for you’, reads Tanvi’s caption.
Meanwhile, it was revealed recently that the filming of the final season has already begun, which was announced with a brief teaser by the official social media handles of the show.
The BBC and AMC show journeys us along with the British intelligence investigator Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), who is entitled to capture Villanelle, a psychopathic assassin. The story takes a turn when the two start being obsessed with each other. The show is based on the novel series titled Villanelle by Luke Jennings and each of its seasons is penned by a different female writer.
It is also interesting to note that Sex Education’s Laura Neal is the head writer of the final season, which is assumed to be helmed by Anu Menon. If the reports are to be believed, AMC is also planning a collaboration with Sid Gentle Films to create spinoffs for the extension of the Killing Eve plot, as the show is moving towards a conclusion.
