After its much-hyped theatrical release, the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer King of Kotha is gearing up to stream on OTT. During the Onam season, the movie locked horns with RDX: Robert Dony Xavier and Nivin Pauly’s Ramachandra Boss & Co. Speaking of the latest, Disney+Hotstar has acquired the digital rights of King of Kotha, and the film is slated to stream on the OTT platform from September 22.

King of Kotha’s plot
The movie is set in the fictional village of Kotha, and it revolves around the life of Raju, a local gangster, and his companions. King of Kotha showcases Raju’s reign as the most powerful figure in Kotha, followed by his eventual downfall and loss of power. The story picks up years later with Raju’s return to Kotha to reclaim his throne, forming the base of the movie’s plot. While Dulquer’s portrayal of Raju adds charisma, King of Kotha is not solely a mass film like K.G.F. or Pushpa. The movie progresses through family relationships, emotional drama, romance and friendship.
