The sets of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film King in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios were the site of a momentous occasion as the superstar started filming with his daughter Suhana Khan. At 9 o'clock in the morning, filming began on the supposedly very safe and controlled set, and it was Suhana's first scene ever with her father on a real film set.
The anticipation for King had been growing for some time, and the studio environment matched the gravity of the event. As per Mid Day, action directors and stunt performers, including Saddam Shaikh, Nadine Theron, and Run Navarach, had reportedly been training for the film for about a week, according to set sources. An insider revealed that they have begun strategising the filming schedule for the upcoming weeks.
The first day saw the filming of an important sequence featuring SRK (Karan Arjun and Koyla), Suhana, and Saurabh Shukla (Satya and Taal). Those who were there noted an emotional undercurrent to the day of filming, which is understandable given that this was Suhana's debut appearance on screen alongside her father, although the specifics of the film are still under wraps.
The source further shared that it was especially impressive to see Suhana maintain her composure and concentration while starring alongside two seasoned actors. According to an insider, King had undergone rigorous preparation, and naturally, the production had meticulously worked on every aspect in the workshop.
While on breaks, Shah Rukh was quite kind to his daughter, according to onlookers. An eyewitness reported to the tabloid that SRK, his ever-doting co-star and father, quietly encouraged her in between takes.
Despite his reputation for massive productions, Siddharth Anand kept the set running smoothly and efficiently. Production on the filming wrapped just after 9 o'clock at night after a 12-hour day.
The insider revealed that the team seemed at peace since they felt they were recording something vital, even though they were working long hours. On set, there were more than 500 individuals. However, they have closed this set. The makers take every precaution to prevent any kind of leak. This set will serve as the backdrop for several crucial moments in the upcoming schedule, but the initial schedule will have additional locales.
Shah Rukh and Suhana Khan are making history with King—not just as performers, but as a father-daughter combination bringing their connection to the big screen for the first time. The start of this schedule is a watershed moment for the Khans.
