Fans are eagerly waiting to see their favourite on-screen couple, Dev and Rukmini back together on screen. Ever since the trailer of the film Kishmish was released, their excitement has only risen several notches higher. And now, makers have announced some great news.
Directed by Rahool Mukherjee, the film will drop its first song, tomorrow on March 30 at 5 pm. The first song, Tui bolbo na tumi, is a romantic number. The track is composed and written by debutant music director and lyricist Nilayan Chatterjee. Nikita Gandhi along with debutant vocalist Subhadeep Pan have crooned the romantic foot-tapping number.
Dev announced the news sharing a BTS video of the song on Instagram, which captures the journey of its creation. He wrote, “This man, Neel is going to b big in the coming years…” (sic)

A part of the song also features in the recently released trailer, promising to deliver a light-hearted romantic ride. Quite interestingly, Tui bolbo na tumi is a sweet conversation between a boy and a girl who are still not sure how to address each other.
The film is already winning hearts and accolades among the fans with its trailer, presenting exciting 2D animations and a fresh storyline. The trailer paints the beguiling yet enchanting effects of romance and longing between two people.
It shows Dev and Rukmini in four different characters from different timelines from age 18 to 45 years. Dev had to lose almost 15 kgs to play the role of a college-goer in the movie.
Dev and Rukmini will be seen together after their 2019 on-screen outing, Password, which was directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee.
Incidentally, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and June Maliah are essaying the role of Rukmini’s on-screen father and mother, respectively.
The film also has Rituparna Sengupta, Jisshu Sengupta, Ankush and Srabanti Chatterjee playing cameo roles. Kishmish is slated to release on April 29 in theatres.
