Know the ‘Chellam sir’ in ‘The Family Man’ Manoj Bajpayee’s life

Srikant Tiwari aka Manoj Bajpayee from The Family Man looks up to Chellam sir in times of difficulty. The latter has literally removed him from dead-ends in life.

While Srikant has his Chellam sir, Manoj Bajpayee revealed the Chellam sir in his real life. In an interview with SpotboyE, he named the Chellam sir in his life.

“So in my life there too many (characters like Chellam sir), for all the films and anything, you know, there are directors who I love and admire like, Neeraj Pandey or Abhishek Chaubey or Raj & DK or Anurag Kashyap all of these people I always call them,” the actor shared.

However, he specified, “But one of the three directors - Suparn Verma - of The Family Man, he can be a Chellam Sir. He is somebody who has answers for everything, so I call him any time.”

The character of Chellam sir in The Family Man was played by Uday Mahesh. The actor, however, was surprisingly not the first choice for the role and he almost ended up not playing the role.

Uday Mahesh, however, fit glove-in-hand with the character and soon became popular among every The Family Man fan. He got memes of his own and with that, became an overnight star.

The Raj and DK directorial also starred Samantha Akkineni in the lead role. Apart from them, the series featured Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthry, Sunny Hinduja, Shahab Ali, Dilip Tahil and Darshan Kumaar in pivotal roles.
