Koffee With Karan 7 - Aamir Khan 'regrets' not spending time with his children: Didn't nurture my relationships like I did my work

In the most recent Koffee with Karan 7 episode, Aamir Khan discussed his lifelong regret of not spending more time with his children, Ira and Junaid. The Dhoom 3 actor said to Karan during their talk that throughout the pandemic, he had a lot of reflection. The actor believed that he had begun working when he turned 18 years old. He has been working his entire adult life and now he is 57. Throughout his film career and all of his relationships, Aamir neglected them more than he did his work. Ira and Junaid were young when he suddenly realised he hadn't spent much time with them.

When discussing his current family dynamics, Aamir added that he believes that his personality has evolved over the past three months. His relationships with his family, children, Reena Dutta's parents (Aamir's first wife), and Kiran Rao (second wife) have improved significantly.

Karan responded by asking if Aamir had any sense of regret. In response, the Dil Chahta Hai actor stated that he wished to. He imagines that he has changed. When he reflects now, he wishes he could have sacrificed his work to spend much more time with each of them. Aamir was in a mindset at the time where he was completely devoted to what he was doing.

Aamir and Kiran Rao released a joint statement in July 2021 announcing their separation.

On December 28, 2005, Aamir and Kiran exchanged vows. Through surrogacy, they obtained their first child, Azad, in 2011. Reena Dutta and Aamir were previously married, but they divorced in 2002. His first marriage to Reena produced a son named Junaid and a daughter named Ira.

Meanwhile, Aamir is presently promoting his upcoming family entertainer, Laal Singh Chaddha, which is expected to be released in theatres on August 11, 2022. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh also appear in the flick.
