Akshay Kumar, who was the latest guest on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 7, revealed that his movie Jaani Dushman helped him pay for his current flat. It is to be noted that the movie is considered a cult in the flop films club. It is so epic that even reviewers haven’t been able to review the movie.
Akshay spoke about Jaani Dushman when he and the host were talking about working in two male-lead roles or more. While Karan and Akshay agreed that there’s a lot of insecurity, Akshay revealed that he worked in a film which had seven male leads.
Jaani Dushman featured Armaan Kohli, Sunny Deol, Akshay, Suniel Shetty, Sonu Nigam, Aftab Shivdasani and Sharad Kapoor in the lead roles. While Armaan played the protagonist-antagonist, all the others played the villains.
Akshay recalled that since Sunny was caught up and he couldn’t come back to Jaani Dushman sets, thus he had to extend his shoot by five days. The actor, who was already dead in the film, realized that he’s not dead but is in a coma. Akshay asked the director if he could extend his part and the director told him exactly that – that his character is not dead but in the coma. That is how Akshay extended the shoot of Jaani Dushman.
In fact, in the midst of the hilarious revelation, Akshay also stated another fun fact. He shared that the movie actually paid for the flat where he is living with his wife Twinkle Khanna and kids Aarav and Nitara today.
Jaani Dushman was a story about an ichaadari naag taking the revenge from the six boys for raping and then killing his ichaadari naagin. Armaan plays the naag named Kapil, while Manisha Koirala plays the naagin Divya aka Vasundhara.
Meanwhile, Koffee With Karan 7’s third episode saw Samantha in attendance with Akshay Kumar. The episode marked her debut on the show.
