Koffee With Karan 7: Did Karan Johar mistakenly reveal that Alia Bhatt was pregnant before marrying Ranbir Kapoor?

Karan Johar might have mistakenly revealed that Alia Bhatt was already pregnant before getting married to Ranbir Kapoor. The director repeated his statement in an interview and on the recently held premiere episode of his show, Koffee With Karan 7. While Karan previously spoke about Alia’s pregnancy, he spoke about her wedding on the show – all in the same sequence.

At the Koffee With Karan 7 premiere episode, Karan Johar revealed that he started crying when Alia told him that she is getting married to Ranbir Kapoor. The filmmaker described it as him having a bad hair day, sitting in a cap and tears flowing down his eyes on hearing the news.

Interesting co-incidence. Just a few days before this ‘revelation,’ Karan narrated the exact same instance in an interview with ETimes. "I felt like my child is going to have a child," the filmmaker-host had said during the interview.

Ranbir and Alia got married on April 14. The actress revealed that she was pregnant on June 27. Ever since, fans were curious whether Alia was pregnant before getting married to Ranbir. Karan’s recent (likely) goof-up might have spilled the beans – she was indeed carrying a child before their wedding.

RanLia were supposed to get married back in 2020 itself. They were going to tie the knot in late Rishi Kapoor’s presence. Unfortunately, pandemic hit and Ranbir’s father Rishi passed away. The family was in mourning and thus, Ranbir and Alia’s wedding kept getting delayed. Finally, the couple surprised one and all with their wedding and pregnancy announcement both.

On the work front, while Ranbir has Shamshera and Brahmastra in his kitty. Meanwhile, Alia recently shot for her Hollywood debut film Heart of Stone. She is also shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The actress will also be promoting her upcoming release, Darlings and Brahmastra, while in her pregnancy term.
