The latest episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 was graced by Bollywood royalties Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore. While the promo of the mother-son duo appeared exciting, the episode overall was spice-less and boring. Throughout the entire episode, Sharmila Tagore – who maintained her calm and poise, spilled beans about Saif Ali Khan and his personal life. Clearly, she was sounding irritated by the presence of her son on the show and vice versa.

Some social media users even called the episode “dull and boring”, as it was just about Saif Ali Khan, his antics in childhood, and his life after marriage – that's all.

Koffee with Karan 8 ft Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore Social Media Review

On microblogging site X today, one social media user felt that Sharmila’s words can only be digested by those living in posh localities in Delhi (the capital city of India - which is also known for its luxurious lifestyle).

“Sharmila Tagore talks about how Kareena Kapoor did the most Kareena thing ever by basically admitting to a group of Greater Kailash aunties that Saif and Kareena were in a live-in relationship. Bombay has never Bombay’ed so hard in Delhi,” wrote one X user.

“Pretty sure Sharmila and those aunties were judging Kareena pretty hard at that point of time,” wrote another X user.

One more X user mentioned that Sharmila Tagore was schooling Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan for their lack of command over the Hindi language. Sharmila randomly quizzed them on what does ‘Putra Moh’ means. Karan and Saif appeared super confused and later got slammed on the show. Sharmila then said that it means the ‘attachment towards a son’.

“These Bollywood people are earning billions from Hindi audiences, but they are making fun of the Hindi language,” wrote another X user.
