Koffee with Karan 8: “There’s a line that’s been crossed..” Alia Bhatt on Ranbir Kapoor being projected Toxic man

The celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan is currently streaming with its eighth season and today’s episode was a fun-filled episode with lots of hot discussions as the B-town queens, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan graced the couch in its fourth episode. From talking about their kids to the glamorous entertainment industry, Bebo and Aloo as the two divas are fondly called, rocked the recent episode.

Alia Bhatt breaks silence on toxic comments

During a candid discussion, the filmmaker and the host, Karan Johar asked Alia and Kareena about their happening marriage life and the challenges they face being married to an actor. He was interrupted as Alia Bhatt quipped the question with raised eyebrows, “What do you mean?” We are first married to a human being and then an actor, and she quickly rephrases the question.

The conversation then switches to how sometimes a remark or casual conversation gets molded in the wrong direction. The context was one of Alia Bhatt’s statements as she was talking about her husband and actor Ranbir Kapoor and what he likes.

“I have a very candid way of speaking, so even when I am talking about, I like to imitate the person I am talking about. I like to make it personal. And I feel a lot of the things get picked out of context. Which happened recently with a video and stuff. My team told me, this is spiraling out of hand. I realized there are serious articles talking about how he is a toxic man. And this and that. And I am like, Are we serious?

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor’s “wipe it off” request on Alia Bhatt’s lipstick became a heated topic about toxic men on the internet.

The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress also expressed that RK is the opposite of what he is projected online. “There are many issues in the world to talk about and give more attention to than talking about something that I said in a completely different context. And I think the only reason I felt bad if people misunderstand because he’s genuinely the opposite of all that. There’s a line that’s been crossed,” she further added.

Both Kareena Kapoor and Karan Johar nodded as Alia clarified the baseless rumors. They also agreed that one of the reasons for these types of rumors is that Ranbir is not on social media, and the news often penetrates through his wife, Alia.
