Koffee With Karan, the popular celebrity talk show hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, is all set to return for its seventh season. The show has seen some memorable moments and has also had its fair share of controversial moments.
One such controversial moment was when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was quizzed about former boyfriend, Salman Khan. The host asked Salman’s name in a quick fire round, asking the former Miss World what comes to her mind when she hears these names.
When Salman’s name came up, the actor replied, “next question”. Immediately after she skipped Salman’s name, she was asked Vivek Oberoi’s name, who she was rumoured to be dating at the time. She said Vivek was a wonderful friend who has truly been there for her.
Salman and Aishwarya’s relationship was a much spoken about topic in the news, and the two had history. Following her breakup with Salman, she was rumoured to be in a relationship with Oberoi, but the actor never confirmed the news.
Vivek had also called a press conference in 2003, alleging that Salman was leaving him threatening calls. This act from Vivek was later condemned by Aishwarya, who called it “immature”.
Koffee With Karan, which has had six successful seasons on TV was announced to have been cancelled by Karan Johar. The Bollywood bigshot later revealed through social media that the show would not air on TV anymore, but would stream directly on Disney+ Hotstar.
While there has been no confirmation about who the star guests would be for the seventh season, reports suggest that the first guests on the new season will be newlyweds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
