Koffee with Karan: Karan Johar to return for season 7 of his popular talk show?

It seems that Karan Johar will be back to spill the tea, or coffee, about the who's who in Bollywood yet again. It has been reported that the filmmaker’s popular talk show Koffee with Karan will return for its seventh season soon.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the makers of the show are planning to start shooting for its new season soon. Karan was currently busy shooting for his upcoming directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and he is expected to finish filming major parts of the same by May. After wrapping up the schedule, he is expected to begin work on his show, Koffee with Karan. A source also told the portal that the planning and pre-production work on the show have already commenced and shooting will probably start from mid-May. The report also states that the show is expected to go on air in June.

The upcoming season of the talk show will reportedly feature celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Rashmika Mandanna, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Neetu Singh and Sidharth Malhotra. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are also expected to make their first talk show appearance as a couple after their wedding on the show’s new season. Interestingly, the couple’s upcoming film, Brahmastra, is produced by Karan.

One of the longest running Indian talk shows, Koffee with Karan was first aired in 2004. Its last season aired in 2019.

The first six seasons of Koffee with Karan are available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.

Meanwhile, Karan’s upcoming directorial is in the form of Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film, which is his first feature length film directorial in almost seven years, will be released in theatres on February 10, 2023. The film also features Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
