Karan Johar returns with a new round of guests for Season 7 of Koffee With Karan. Several actors will be making their Koffee debuts this season, but a few others will be returning to the show for the second time. Up until this point, Priyanka Chopra has been on every season of Koffee With Karan. Even though she may not be present in the current season, Priyanka and Deepika Padukone made an appearance on the sixth episode of the talk show in season 4. On the show, Karan discussed how Vidya Balan won the Filmfare 'Best Actress' Award in 2013 for Kahaani rather than Priyanka for her portrayal in Barfi.
Karan recalled Priyanka saying a quick prayer while he was on stage presenting the nominees. He continued by saying that he had seen a difference in her attitude following her loss.
The Desi girl shared her unhappiness about it, adding, "This film for me was very special. And I knew I wasn’t getting it (the award) before, (but) I sat through it. My dad told me actually. He was ill, he was at the hospital at that time. I told him, 'I am going for Filmfare. And he was like, 'Good luck! Your performance was amazing.' And when I got there…you know, you hear. So, I found out, and I remember calling him and saying ‘I am not winning it. Why should I stay?’ And he said, 'Because you are a good sportsman. Stay, and clap for someone else. It’s fine.' So, I decided that I would do that. And yes, it did hurt me. That year, specifically, it did."
On the work front, Priyanka recently finished filming her first web series, Citadel, which was created by the Russo brothers. She also appears in the film It's All Coming Back To Me. In terms of her Hindi ventures, she most recently appeared in The White Tiger with Farhan Akhtar and Adarsh Gourav. She will be seen in Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
