Kolahalam OTT release date: When and where to watch this 2025 Malayalam comedy film online

The Malayalam film, Kolahalam, will have a digital debut soon, a month after its theatrical release. The comedy drama, which is directed by Rasheed Parambil, will be streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium from next Friday (August 22).

Kolahalam OTT release date

Kolahalam did not do well with the audience when it was released in theatres in July. On August 22, it will be available for viewing on the well-known OTT platforms starting at 12 am. Surabhila Sundara Swapnam, Swargam, Am Ah, and Iyer in Arabia are among the recent Malayalam films that will be available digitally on Sun NXT. As of now, no further Malayalam films have been scheduled for an OTT release in the upcoming week.

Kolahalam plot and cast details

Kolahalam, which translates to "Commotion" in Malayalam, is a poignant and humorous story of an elderly man's death and funeral, which takes place in just 16 hours. In the midst of the solemn preparations, a thief breaks in, generating unintentional confusion that results in a series of light-hearted, futile escape attempts. This is the main focus of the film. This movie also effectively conveys a valuable message that transcends disparities with an objective reality. After Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam, this is Rasheed Parambil's third movie.

In this family drama, supporting roles are played by Santhosh Puthan, Kumar Sunil, Swathy Mohanan, Priya Sreejith, Anusha Aravindakshan, Rajesh Nair, Sathyan Chavara, Vishnu Balakrishnan, and Rajeev Pillath. Important parts are also played by Devi Krishna, Jayaram Ramu, Sreelakshmi S, Ali Marvel, Girish Ongallour, Afsal K Aziz, Dilsha, Aarathi Muralidharan, Vishal Viswanathan, Sharan Panicker, and Sathyan Prabhapuram. Vishal Viswanathan wrote the film's dialogues and screenplay.
