Actress Komalee Prasad, who forayed into the industry with Nenu Seetha Devi in 2016, is gradually carving her niche with impressive performances in a handful of biggies and story-driven fares. She shot to fame with her appearance in a key role in the Ashish, Anupama Parameswaran starrer Rowdy Boys and starred in Kiran Abbavaram’s Sebastian PC 524, Hit: The Second Case and web shows like Loser (ZEE5), Modern Love Hyderabad (Amazon Prime Video).

While promoting a series of special Valentine’s Day releases for PVR Cinemas, the actress opened up on her favourite romances and her next release Sasivadane. “My first ever movie date was for Ranbir Kapoor’s Bachna Ae Haseeno. I wish I had a chance to catch my all-time favourite film PS I Love You on the big screen again; I would’ve easily watched it over 50 times,” she said.

Responding to a question on which movie character she would like to go on a date with, Komalee said, “I would like to date Bheem from RRR, he’s so calm like water and good looking.” Opening up about Sasivadane, she stated, “Being part of Sasivadane was like celebrating Valentine’s Day everyday on set, it’s a cute love story and we have many good songs about love.”

Why should people watch Sasivadane? “You should watch Sasivadane because it’s a pure Telugu love story set in a Godavari backdrop and is filled with humour. I have had a huge liking for the Godavari slang for many years. You should also watch it because I am a part of it (laughs),” she mentioned. Rakshit Atluri, who was part of films like London Babulu, Palasa 1978, plays her romantic interest in the film.

Written and directed by Sai Mohan Ubbana, Sasivadane is presented by Gauri Naidu and produced by Ahiteja Bellamkonda for AG Film Company. The title song from the film, sung by Haricharan, Chinmayi Sripada, composed by Saravana Vasudevan, was launched earlier this month.
