Hridhu Haroon, son of leading producer Shibu Thameens, makes his acting debut with the action thriller

Choroegrapher Brinda Gopal, who turned a director with Dulquer Salmaan, Aditi Rao Hydari’s rom-com Hey Sinamika, is gearing up for the release of her second directorial Thugs. The film’s Telugu version is titled Konaseema Thugs. The action thriller is set to hit screens on February 24. Hridhu Haroon, son of top producer Shibu Thameens, is set to make his debut as actor with the same.
Bobby Simha, RK Suresh, Munishkanth and Anaswara Rajan play other key roles in the film presented by Riya Shibu, Shibu Thameens’ daughter, under HR Pictures banner in association with Jio Studios. While the trailer and the music have received much appreciation from crowds, Konaseema Thugs has also caught the eyes of a leading Telugu banner for is distribution rights.
Yes, you heard it right. The distribution wing of Mythri Movie Makers, the creators behind box office monsters like Pushpa, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy, has acquired the release rights of Konaseema Thugs. Mythri Movie Distributors LLP will release the Telugu version of the actioner in AP, Telangana and several regions across the globe.
The distribution wing released the banner’s home productions, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy in Nizam area on their own this Sankranthi. The team at Mythri is mighty impressed with the promos of Konaseema Thugs to date and is believed to have arrived at this decision. The first single from the film, Amman song, was unveiled recently as well.
The pre-release event of Konaseema Thugs will be held in Hyderabad on February 19. Priyesh Guruswamy has cranked the camera for the film whose crew comprises editor Praveen Antony, action choreographers Pheonix Prabhu and Rajasekar and costume designer Malini Karthikeyan, to name a few. Sony acquired the film’s music rights.
