Konkona Sensharma and Radhika Apte come together for Vikramaditya Motwane's Lust Stories 3?

The highly anticipated anthology Lust Stories 3 will feature a part directed by Vikramaditya Motwane (Trapped), and it has been announced that Radhika Apte (Mrs Undercover and Pad Man) and Konkona Sensharma would be making their professional acting debuts together. Casting news arrives soon after Motwane posted an Instagram snapshot of the two actors, which caused fans to go wild and ask for a collaboration.

Mid Day reports that the two performers, who have a reputation for subtle acting in both independent and popular films, will star in Motwane's segment in the third season of the Netflix anthology. There has been a significant breakthrough in casting. For a long time, Radhika and Konkona looked up to one another's art. According to a source who spoke with the tabloid, this felt like the perfect opportunity for them to come together because Motwane was writing a great script.

While Apte and Sensharma are making welcome returns, Motwane makes his directing debut in the Lust Stories series. Anurag Kashyap's 2018 addition to Lust Stories showcased Apte in a challenging role that garnered positive feedback. Lust Stories 2 (2023), which Sensharma also directed, was lauded for its crisp storytelling and acting; it featured Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash.

Abhishek Banerjee joins the ensemble cast

Abhishek Banerjee, who broke out in the part of Stree and has since been in a number of other highly renowned films and web series, will be joining them in this new phase. This universe welcomes Abhishek as a newcomer. An insider revealed to the tabloid that filming will begin soon.

Each installment provides four separate stories examining themes of desire, relationships, and societal standards. The Lust Stories anthology has routinely featured some of India's best directors and actors since its 2018 debut.
