Koodal release date: Bibin George's romantic comedy to clash with Suresh Gopi's Janaki v/s State of Kerala

The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film, Koodal, have dropped an update on its theatrical release. It has been revealed that the movie will hit the big screen on June 20.

The movie, which stars actor and screenplay writer Bibin George in the lead role, is releasing with two other films- Suresh Gopi's Janaki v/s State of Kerala and Ranjith Sajeev's United Kingdom of Kerala- on June 20. While films such as Asif Ali's Abhyanthara Kuttavali and Saiju Kurup-starrer Written & Directed by God will be releasing in the first week of June, Anaswara Rajan's Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal and Roshan Mathew-starrer Ronth will make a theatrical debut on June 13. Meanwhile, Mohanlal's Chotta Mumbai will be re-releasing in theatres on June 6. Further updates on Koodal, including a trailer, is expected in the coming days. 

Cast and crew of Koodal

Mareena Michael Kurisingal, Riya, Niya Varghese, Anu Sona, Vineeth Thattil, Muhammad Rafi, Sam Jeevan, Ali Arangadath, Lali P M, Sneha Vijayan, and Archana Ranjith are among the supporting cast of Koodal. Another important actor in the movie is Gajaraj, the father of Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. Shajeer Pappa has helmed the camera work of Koodal, while Jarshaj Kommeri is the editor. The film, which is bankrolled by Jithin K V under the backing of P and J Productions, features soundtracks by Sibu Sukumaran.

Bibin was recently spotted in Gumasthan and Omar Lulu's Bad Boyz. He is well-known for works like Oru Pazhaya Bomb Kadha and Margamkali. Additionally, Bibin wrote the screenplays for several films, including Vedikettu and Amar Akbar Anthony. 

Koodal's filming was recently completed. Shanu Kakkoor and Shafi Epikkad, who wrote the script, are directing this movie. The movie, according to its makers, is centred on an outdoor camp and tells the story of a group of youngsters' gathering in this setting and the events that transpire around it. The movie was announced in September last year.
