Jr. NTR, who is heaping the praises of his recent Rajamouli film, RRR with Ram Charan is now gearing up for his 30th film. The film will have Koratala Siva and Jr. NTR teaming up once again for a movie, after having delivered the 2016 box office hit Janatha Garage. Siva has now opened up about the upcoming movie, talking about what fans can expect from it.
Talking in an interaction while promoting his upcoming project, Acharya, the director said, "I've written a large script that will be mounted on a large canvas. It will have more mass appeal and commercial appeal than my first film, Mirchi and Janatha Garage.” The director added that the movie will have an overdose of mass elements.
He further added that the movie will have a strong emotional core to anchor the movie and will be filmed on a large scale. Reports suggest that the movie will come out in May 2023.
The director-actor duo have previously collaborated on Janatha Garage, which became a box office superhit in 2016. Tentatively titled NTR30, the upcoming movie is already a highly-anticipated project for this very reason.
Janatha Garage, which saw Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the lead along with Jr. NTR also features Samantha, and Nithya Menen while Suresh, Rahman, Sai Kumar, Unni Mukundan and Sachin Khedekar play supporting roles.
Releasing in 1,950 screens, the movie went on to collect a whopping Rs. 41 crore on its opening day. Reaching the Rs. 100 crore mark within a week, Janatha Garage ended its theatrical run after having minted Rs. 135 crore worldwide.
With the director-actor duo combining once again in what is touted to be a mass affair, fans are expecting yet another movie that will be entertaining and will dominate at the box office.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Siva is awaiting the release of Acharya, which stars the father-son duo, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan officially for the first time. Chiranjeevi had appeared in Charan’s two films before but for a brief period. The film Acharya will be out on April 29, 2022.
