It is a known fact that Kota Bommali PS is the official remake of the Malayalam hit Nayattu. The cop drama opened to positive word of mouth and ended as a safe bet at the box office. We at OTTplay have already reported that the popular Telugu OTT platform Aha has grabbed the digital rights to the film for a fancy price. Well, the news now is that Kota Bommali PS is expected to stream from January 5, 2024, onwards on Aha.
Initially, the cop drama was expected to stream in the last week of December 2023, but now it has shifted to the first week of January 2024. An official confirmation will be made soon.
The news is that the producers made a handsome profit with the digital rights of the film. Teja Marini has directed Kota Bommali which has Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Shivani Rajasekhar, and Rahul Vijay in key roles.
A lot of changes have been made to the remake and a new tone was given to the cop drama, which made the film look unique from the day the promos were out. Allu Aravind's GA 2 Pictures has remade the film in Telugu and released it on November 24, 2023. A host of noted actors like Shivani Rajasekhar and Varalasxmi Sarathkumar were seen as cops in this film.
Bunny Vas has produced this film on a very tight budget. The gripping promos and the cult Lingdi song have worked wonders for this film and it saw decent openings during its release. The makers also did not shy away and promoted the film on an aggressive note and this resulted in the favor of the film.
With Kota Bommali, senior hero Srikanth made a strong comeback in Telugu cinema. He is now doing back-to-back films and has signed NTR's Devara and Ram Charan's Game Changer in the direction of Shankar. Srikanth has done over 150 films in his career and has now transformed as a character artist with films like Kota Bommali PS.
