Kota Factory is set in Kota, Rajasthan, a hub for IIT coaching centers. The story follows the lives of students preparing for the IIT-JEE exams and centers on Vaibhav (Mayur More), who comes to Kota to fulfill his IIT dream. The series explores his struggles, friendships, and love affairs in a competitive environment. The plot also highlights the lives of Vaibhav's friends played by Ahsaas Channa, Revathi Pillai, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, and Urvi Singh. Apart from them, one of the main characters, Jeetu Bhaiya, played by Jitendra Kumar, is a Physics teacher. He is not only a teacher to these students but a true guardian who guides them to follow the right path. Jitendra received a lot of love and praise for his charismatic Jeetu Bhaiya character.

Notably, in Kota Factory, Tilottama Shome played Pooja Ma'am, a chemistry teacher who becomes a voice of reason for the struggling students. She also helped Jeetu Bhaiya when the latter was having an existential crisis.

Meanwhile, in an earlier exclusive conversation with OTTplay, Kota Factory director Pratish Mehta and actors Jitendra Kumar shared their opinions about season 4.
Director Pratish Mehta said, “I still think that whatever process we have followed so far, we will try to be as relatable as possible and tell the story of what our students and teachers feel. We have been walking on the same trajectory. If the show is sanctioned for a fourth season, we will indeed follow the same path and make it as relatable as possible."
On the other hand, Jitendra said that it is very important to focus on reality with every season, and he thinks that the show must continue. "We will keep pushing ourselves to bring new things for you.”
