Rishwi Thimmaraju, Vismaya Sri play the lead roles in the Rajesh Dondapati directorial
Rishwi Thimmaraju, Vismaya Sri starrer Krishna Gadu Ante Oka Range is one among the many small-budget films releasing in theatres this weekend. The film is directed by Rajesh Dondapati and is bankrolled by a US-based producer Petla Raghuram under Sri Tejas Productions. After wrapping up its censor formalities, the family entertainer is set to hit screens on August 4.
The pre-release event of the film was held recently. Apart from the cast and crew, the event was graced by producers KL Damodar Prasad, Bekkem Venugopal, writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada and politician Dhassyam Vinay Bhasker as well. The producer, who’s a software engineer by profession stated that the film was made in the span of two years.
“Cinema gives you the power to impact a lot of people. The story revolves around how a youngster Krishna leaves no stone unturned to fulfil his father’s wish, showcasing his love life and a wide a range of emotions that he experiences. The film throws light on the importance of small pleasures in life. Rishwi has a mass character; he and Vismaya made for a good on screen pair,” Raghuram added.
The director Rajesh Dondapati credited his friend Ramu for introducing him in the industry, remembering the support he received from family, near and dear to reach this stage. He called Raghuram a gutsy producer to trust so many newcomers and make a film. “I thank my team, cast and crew for believing in me through the process.”
Rishwi shared he would always be grateful to his producer Raghuram for the encouragement he’d given during the making. “Rajesh, our director, is the true hero of the film. The chemistry between me and Vismaya has come out well on screen. August 4 is an important day in our lives; our team will be watching the film in theatres.” Vismaya remained optimistic about the film’s fortunes, stating she got to play a meaty role and praised the director’s clarity.
