ETV Win, the streaming platform owned by the Eenadu group, is coming up with multiple releases in and around the festive season. One among them is a web film titled Krishna Rama. Rajendra Prasad and Gautami, who were paired together recently in Anni Manchi Sakunamule, reunite for the feel-good drama. 30 Weds 21 fame Ananya Sharma is also cast in a crucial role in the OTT film.

Krishna Rama is directed by Raj Madiraju (also a popular actor), who’s helmed films like Rushi, Aithe 2, Uncle and Grey: The Spy Who Loved Me in the past. The web film marks his OTT debut as a director. He had already forayed into the digital space as an actor with Krishna and his Leela, which was out on aha and Netflix simultaneously in 2020.

It is now official that Krishna Rama will arrive on ETV Win on October 22, a Sunday release. The team, including the director Rajendra Prasad and Gautami have already shot for a promotional interview. The digital campaign surrounding the film’s release is set to commence tomorrow, followed by the launch of the teaser, trailer.

Multiple posters of the film are out already, promising a tale that’ll please family crowds. The story of Krishna Rama is believed to revolve around a retired couple, who enter Facebook with the hope to stay in touch with with their kids who live abroad. Will they be successful in drawing their children's attention? Srikanth Iyyangar is also part of the film’s lineup.

Reportedly, Raj Madiraju had the idea to cast Rajendra Prasad and Gautami after spending time with them on the sets of Anni Manchi Sakunamule (in which he had acted too). The film is produced by Venkata Kiran Kumar Kallakuri, who’d earlier backed the director’s Grey. Sunil Kasyap scores the music and Junaid Siddique is the editor.
