Naga Shaurya is going all out to promote his romantic entertainer Krishna Vrinda Vihari that hits theatres tomorrow. Anish R Krishna helms the film that introduces singer-cum-actress Shirley Setia to Telugu cinema. After a tiring week of promotions and events across nooks and corners of the Telugu states, Shaurya spoke to Telugu media about his upcoming film, produced by his mother Usha Mulpuri and presented by his father Shankar Prasad.

It's not surprising that the youngster appears slightly tired after a hectic fortnight. "My health has gone for a toss. The fatigue is more about the film release than the padayatra. I've never been so tensed for a film. It was overwhelming to see much love from audiences and I consider myself blessed. I learnt a lot through the interactions with people over the last week," Shaurya says.

"I heard the film's story even before COVID-19 and gave a nod to it immediately. The film is a feel-good, funny entertainer that can be cherished by the masses and family audiences alike. As long as families exist in this world, films like Krishna Vrinda Vihari will resonate with one and all. For all those asking, the Brahminical angle to the story is quite different from Adhurs, DJ or an Ante Sundaraniki. I've taken adequate care to perform it well," the actor states.

Along with Shaurya, many actors get to be a part of comic sequences in Krishna Vrinda Vihari, but for Radikaa Sarathkumar. "Our director Anish has good understanding of comedy and I'm particularly fond of the film's second hour. It was an honour to act alongside Radikaa garu and she couldn't attend promotions owing to her busy schedule. I hope she turns up for the film's success meet," he's hopeful.

Contrary to popular belief, the Chalo actor says he's not so comfortable with romantic comedies. "Nandini Reddy would tell you how weak I'm with romantic sequences. Our director Anish was smart in helping me overcome my inhibitions." The team was particularly impressed by Shirley Setia's performance in the Netflix film Maska and brought her on-board. "She's a fine performer without a doubt," Shaurya's all praise for his co-star.

Mahati Swara Sagar and I share a special friendship and he always composes good music for my films, he mentions. Shaurya, who has made a name for himself in classy family entertainers, wants to try his hand at mass films in the times to come. Phalana Ammayi Phalana Abbayi, with actor-director Srinivas Avasarala, in which he's paired alongside Malvika Nair, is his next release. "The release date will be announced shortly," he signs off.
