Spencer is releasing on November 5, 2021.
Kristen Stewart is leaving no stone unturned in promoting her soon-to-be-released film Spencer in which she plays the titular role of Princess Diana. The actor left an impressive mark on everyone who watched the trailer of the film. Moreover, she was also lauded for her performance during the Spencer premiere held at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. Now, during an interaction, Kristen revealed that due to the anxiousness of playing Diana, she developed pain in her jaw.
During an interaction with BBC News, the actor stated, "I had TMJ (her jaw stayed shut) to the point where I was like, completely locked up. I was like, 'Huh, I guess I'm nervous'. I was tripping out until we started."
Kristen went on to say that she didn't know much about the Royal Family before filming for Spencer. The actor shared that she didn't have the most developed or defined relationship with the Royal Family in general. She added that she didn't grow up following the sort of saga.
However, living on planet earth, she knew Diana's impact was so immense and emotional. Kristen revealed that she was seven when Diana passed away and it did impact her.
The Twilight actor also said that she watched The Crown as a part of her prep for Spencer. The actor added, "I watched The Crown, I watched every iteration of interpretation."
She just tried to absorb Diana in an emotional and general way. Kristen then trusted the process and expected Diana to show up.
The actor also said that she had to just not focus on other people's ideas of Princess Diana and focus on her own. That in itself was just so distinct and specific to her.
Spencer is set to hit the big screens on November 5, 2021.
