In exciting news for the fans, Suriya and director Bala’s untitled film has begun its filming in Kanyakumari. The makers have also confirmed that Telugu star Krithi Shetty will be joining the movie’s cast.

The actor has now talked about the movie, tentatively titled Suriya 41, saying that she looks forward to working with the Tamil star.

Talking to Times of India, Shetty said, “He is one of my favourite actors. I have watched so many of his films and have immense respect for him. In fact, I don’t know how I’ll handle my day one of shoot with him because I am a big fan (sic).”

The actor also talked about director Bala, saying that all the characters in his movies are raw and natural and the emotions they go through are similar to real-life emotions.

She added that her character is “beautiful yet challenging”, which she learned more about after a character analysis with the team.

The Telugu actor said that she has been learning Tamil for the role and because it is a new language for her, she wants to be good at it.

Shetty will begin shooting for the film in Kanyakumari from April 3. The actor is also working on a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled The Warrior, directed by Lingusamy and starring Ram.

Apart from Shetty, the movie will also star G.V Prakash and Super Sharanya fame Mamitha Baiju. The news was shared by 2D Entertainments, the movie’s makers, through social media.

The movie marks Suriya’s first collaboration with Bala in 18 years. The actor-director combo has previously delivered two hit movies, Nandha and Pithamagan.
