Kritika Kamra on Hush Hush: I can feel the suffocation of Dolly Dalal

Actress Kritika Kamra is playing one of the principal characters of the upcoming women-led Amazon Original web series Hush Hush. The series revolves around the story of six women, featuring - Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Jhulka, Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Karishma Tanna alongside Kritika.

Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Tanuja Chandra, the show comes across as one of the intense, mysterious stories of women who are coming from well-to-do families.

Kritika is playing the character of a daughter-in-law named Dolly Dalal who is trying hard to hide a secret that is a result of her own action and at the same time, she is seeking freedom from the situation that makes her feel suffocated.

Revealing more on her character from Hush Hush, Kritika said, "Even though I'm not like the character I am portraying at all, I felt like I know people like Dolly. So that was something that I wanted to explore. I wanted to play a character that is relatable to people."

The upcoming show marks the second time the actress is working with Soha Ali Khan. The duo earlier worked in the ZEE5 original series titled - Kaun Banegi Shikharwati.

Explaining how the upcoming show is unique from the other chick flick, the actress mentioned, "What really worked for me was that it wasn't the kind of show that you expect when you think of so many women coming together. It's more intense than what other female-led shows have been so far."

Starting her career with television shows, Kritika became a fan favourite with shows like Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Prem Ya Paheli - Chandrakanta among others. She has also appeared in the Amazon Original web series Tandav as well.
