Kritika Kamra recalls rejecting a film opposite 'big actor': I don't regret...

Kritika Kamra is currently enjoying the success of her web series, Gyaarah Gyaarah. The actress played a police officer in the Umesh Bist directorial. While she is doing well in the OTT space, Kritika hasn't done many Bollywood movies. Her last film was Bheed, which is her only release after her Hindi film debut Mitron. Recently, when Kritika spoke to Hindustan Times, the actress was asked about her selective approach to movies. That's when Kamra revealed she once rejected a film with a 'big actor.

When Kritika Kamra rejected a film opposite 'big actor'

In an interview with the news publication, Kritika Kamra said she is particular about her choices. She prefers theatrical releases that offer substantial and meaningful parts. The Gyaarah Gyaarah actress further shared she rejected a film offer opposite a 'big actor'. 

"Yes, it has happened a couple of times and one time the film went on to become a big hit. I don't know what it did for the actress who played the part I was in talks for. I don't regret it all," recalled Kritika. The actress added it happened a few years ago and "it was something opposite a mainstream actor".

At that time, Kritika felt the character she was offered didn't have much to do in the film. "I could have been thought of it as a bad decision but I don't look at it that way. I wouldn't have been proud of it," stated Kamra.

Meanwhile, Kritika's web show Gyaarah Gyaarah, which premiered on August 9, clocked over 100 million watch minutes within three days. The actress plays the character of DSP Vamika Rawat in the show, which also stars Raghav Juyal and Dhairya Karwa. While Raghav essays Yug Arya's role, Dhairya is seen as Shaurya Anthwal in the ZEE5 series. It is also available for streaming with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
