Krrish is the most successful superhero film franchise in the country, and fans have been eagerly waiting for another movie starring Hrithik Roshan. The latest reports regarding the sequel suggest that the work for the movie will begin in June.
As reported by ETimes, the next sequel in the Krrish franchise will hit the floors next year. “The preparation for Krrish 4, including casting of the film, will begin in June this year.” The sources also revealed that the Roshans haven’t yet decided on who will play the leading lady in the film.
Rakesh Roshan, who has previously helmed all three movies in the franchise, had stated that the fourth Krrish movie would be a big project and that it only made sense to start working on it after the pandemic.
The first movie in the franchise, Koi Mil Gaya, was released in 2003. The movie follows Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) and his friends in a small town as they are visited by an extraterrestrial being who has lost its way from the mothership.
The sequels follow Krishna, Rohit’s son, who has inherited superpowers from his father. Krrish, which came out in 2006, went on to mint big numbers at the box office.
Hrithik is currently working with Saif Ali Khan on the official Hindi remake of the Tamil film Vikram Vedha. The actor will then start working on "Fighter" with Deepika Padukone in August. With a 100-day schedule, the filming of Fighter is expected to wrap around the end of this year.
The actor was last seen in the action thriller War, directed by Siddharth Anand and co-starring Tiger Shroff.
