Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan's film Krrish 4 has been one of the most-awaited films in Bollywood. The fourth installment in the superhero franchise has been delayed multiple times. It was supposed to go on floors in the second half of 2025. The latest development is that Krrish 4 has reportedly been pushed to 2026. Moreover, Siddharth Anand has apparently backed out of the superhero film.
Krrish 4 delayed due to these reasons?
According to Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 4 has been delayed due to budget constraints. The actor had assigned the job of getting a studio on board for the film to Siddharth Anand (a producer of Krrish 4). However, the major studios in India were reportedly hesitant to allocate the budget assigned to the film.
"The studios were not confident about Krrish at this budget in the post-Marvel era as it has been more than a decade since the release of Krrish 4," a source told the entertainment portal. The report further suggests that Siddharth Anand and his production venture Marflix are no longer associated with the movie.
Havinv said that, other sources close to the project later shared, "The astronomical budget figures doing the rounds are completely untrue."
In a recent interview, Rakesh Roshan had shared that an official update on Krrish 4 is expected by the end of the year.
Hrithik and his father Rakesh had a meeting and have reportedly decided to personally speak to studios across India. They are apparently looking to lock a lucrative deal for the superhero film. "Krrish 4 will now be produced by FilmKraft with a leading studio, whereas Marflix will focus on other projects outside of Krrish," the source added.
Apart from Siddharth, director Karan Malhotra, who was rumored to direct the film, might discontinue his association as well. A new team is expected to come on board for the movie and rework the budget. Once that is done, Krrish 4 will go on floors.
Hrithik Roshan's upcoming movies
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan is currently working on Ayan Mukerji's War 2. It is the sequel to Siddharth Anand's 2019 film War. Roshan will share screen space with Kiara Advani and Jr NTR. Yash Raj Films have produced the film.
