Krrish 4: Rakesh Roshan was in tears after hearing about Hrithik Roshan's directorial debut | Exploring father-son's director-actor association

The Roshans might be the name of a documentary featuring of the filmy families from Bollywood but they have contributed to one of the biggest franchise films in the industry before franchise was even a word. Of course, we're talking about Krrish. As Krrish 4 is set to roll on floors soon with a big change, Rakesh Roshan, who has a long-standing history with the film, broke into tears. Hrithik Roshan's sister Sunaina Roshan spilled the news in a recent interview. Here's what she said...

Despite the rumours, one cannot deny that Rakesh Roshan has been associated with Krrish as the director of the film the longest. It is now time for Hrithik to take the reins and seeing him do so left the father, who has been associated with the movie over the years, in tears. Sunaina shared the news with News18 by confirming how she started crying and feeling it in the air, Rakesh Roshan was also in tears.

Back in 2000, Rakesh Roshan launched his son Hrithik Roshan in Bollywood. A good-looking man in a love story that melts hearts, Hrithik became the nation's heartthrob through Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. Rakesh Roshan, who was directing movies since a while, managed to do that.

Three years later, the father-son did it again with the story of Koi... Mil Gaya. This time, it was about a child who was mentally slower, was more human at heart than most. He accidentally summoned an alien, named him Jadoo and took care of him while the world, including his own mother, feared the invasion of a new species. In turn, Jadoo gave Rohit superpowers. Hrithik Roshan-Rakesh Roshan's magic clearly worked again, and the idea of Krrish took birth.

Krrish, a continuation from Koi... Mil Gaya, gave India its first superhero. Whether Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan could be three times lucky was a question on everybody's mind, but it was a hattrick! This time, Krrish became a phenomenon. The superhero ruled and merchandizes were sold on his name. There was no looking back for the father and son, till Krrish 4 happened and Hrithik took the big step. He is now ready to take the legacy forward with Krrish 4, but will he succeed is still a huge question. The excitement, though, is no less, even if the delay in the film's production is slightly disappointing. Can Hrithik really recreate the magical world his father built over the years, is the ultimate question on people's mind for Krrish 4, and rightly so!
