Krushna Abhishek, sister, recall how uncle Govinda had helped them out during hard times

Krushna Abhishek’s strained relationship with his maternal uncle, actor Govinda, is no secret in the industry. On numerous occasions, the duo have opened up about the rift between them. But recently, Krushna opened up about a time when Govinda had helped out the former and his sister Arti Singh when the duo fell on hard times.

In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Krushna opened up about the difficulties he and his sister had to face after the death of their mother. They were raised by their father, who barely had enough time to work after tending to the needs of his children. Krushna recalled how the family ahd to sell their big flat in Juhu and move into a one room apartment. The money made from the sale was also used by their father to look after the household.

Krushna recounted how Govinda used to give the former Rs 2000 as an allowance every month when he was in college. His sister Arti had been in school in Lucknow at the time and Govinda used to give her money and pay her school fees as well, supporting the siblings as much as he could. Krushna said that he was amazed thinking of how Govinda took out the time to help the duo despite being a busy ‘superstar’. “He used to work five shifts and still took care of the problems of everyone in the family. Today, I realize that”, said Krushna.

The two reportedly experienced a rift in their relationship in 2016. During his appearance on Maniesh Paul’s podcast, Krushna had made a tearful apology to Govinda, saying that he loved and missed him. Govinda had responded to the same when he appeared on Maniesh’s podcast as well, saying that the ‘love’ Krushna had should be shown off camera as well. Govinda had also added that Krushna was a ‘good boy’ and wished the latter well in his future.
