Kuberaa is one of the biggest hits in recent times, having grossed just over Rs 150 crore at the box office. Sekhar Kammula directed the film, which had Dhanush and Nagarjuna in the lead roles. Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas produced the film, and he sold the digital rights to Amazon for a massive price.
This deal was structured in such a way that the makers agreed to the OTT release within a month of its theatrical release. Well, the same has happened, as Kuberaa is out on OTT and is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video from July 18, 2025.
Dhanush's performance is one of the biggest highlights of the film, especially the manner in which he played the role of a beggar. Kuberaa was made on a massive budget, and that is the reason the makers decided to release the film on OTT in advance so they could get a few extra crores and recover a lot of money.

Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead in this film, which is a social drama. Some time back, there was news that deleted scenes from the film would be added to the OTT version, but nothing of that sort happened, as Kuberaa's theatrical version is only being streamed on Amazon.
Nagarjuna played a special role for the first time in his career and is being appreciated a lot for finally moving on from doing hero roles to special roles. Kuberaa is Sekhar Kammula's biggest film in terms of budget and scale. He was used to making only soft romantic films, and for the first time, he directed a big social drama and impressed one and all.

His next film is with Nani and will be a family drama made only for the Telugu audience. The pre-production will take a lot of time, and the project will go on the floors in the second half of 2025. For now, we need to see what kind of response Kuberaa gets from the OTT audience. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
