There's another story about the Indian royal family on the block. Titled Kull, this series features Nimrat Kaur and Riddhi Dogra as two Ranis in focus. However, our focus remains on Huma Qureshi, who attained the status of Maharani not based on a royal bloodline. Here's why we say so...

Kull tries too hard ahead of The Royals release

We had recently seen a teaser of The Royals, which was about a CEO falling for royal blood. Yes, we're talking about The Royals featuring the unusual pairing of Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar. The plot seemed interesting for a royal story, mainly because Zeenat Aman's character came upfront about the royals in India living on generational wealth alone. At such a time, Kull tries too hard with the glamour and dark side of being from the Indian royal family, and there's just no way to connect, at least with us.

Huma Qureshi's Maharani over Nimrat Kaur and Riddhi Dogra as Ranis

Sure, Nimrat Kaur has been making headlines, and there's no denying that she has what it takes to be popular, but the focus is not even completely on The Test Case actor. It is divided between the two women (Nimrat and Riddhi Dogra) and their on-screen spouses played by Amol Pathkar and Gaurav Arora, with their stories waiting to be explored on May 2.

In comparison, Huma Qureshi steals the limelight every single time she appears as the Maharani in the TV series. If the power game is what we talk about, then Maharani wins hands down. Starting from scratch to winning in politics, the series hits all the right spots.
