Kumar Srimathi OTT release date: When and where to watch Nithya Menen's latest web series

Vyjayanthi Movies is one of the oldest production houses in the country. The banner owned by Ashwini Dutt is now being managed by his daughters, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt. They have made films like Mahanati in the past and are now busy with the shooting of their new film Project K which has Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan in key roles.

Now the prestigious banner has started a new web division Early Monsoon Tales. Well, they have now announced their first-ever web series named Kumari Srimathi. Starring Nithya Menen as Srimathi, the seven-episode series also features Nirupam, Gautami, Thiruveer, Talluri Rameshwari, Naresh, and Murali Mohan in pivotal roles. 

The show is set in a small village in the East Godavari region of Andra Pradesh. Well, the makers have now announced that Kumari Srimathi will premiere on September 28, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video. The first look featuring Nithya Menen was released today by the makers. 

This web series hilariously encapsulates the tribulations in the life of a 30-year-old woman played by Menen, who challenges stereotypes in a small town riddled with antiquity. Kumari Srimathi is directed by Gomtesh Upadhye, the series will exclusively premiere in Telugu, with dubs in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. 

One of the producers, Swapna Dutt has revealed that Kumari Srimathi explores the intricacies of domestic households, breaking the norms of society, and nurturing personal aspirations, all while taking the audience on an emotional and entertaining roller coaster. With such impressive casting and a popular production house behind this show, we need to see what magic Nithya Menon will create with Kumari Srimathi.
