Om Shaanti Oshaana and Sara’s director Jude Anthany Joseph has begun work on his biggest directorial venture, which is based on the 2018 Kerala floods. The shoot of the movie kicked off on Sunday with Kunchacko Boban joining the sets.

Produced by Anto Joseph, the film was first announced in 2019 as 2403 ft. However, we hear that the team will change its title. Jude had also shot a few portions of the movie two years ago with Tovino Thomas and Tanvi Ram. It’s not clear whether the team plans to retain these portions or begin again.

The big budget film also has Tovino and Asif Ali, and a source from the team had recently told us that they were hoping in rope in Vineeth Sreenivasan and Guru Somasundaram as part of the cast. The film, scripted by Jude and John Manthrickal, revolves around the unlikely heroes of the 2018 Kerala floods. Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier and Indrans were also earlier announced to be part of the ensemble cast of the film, which will have extensive portions shot in water.

Meanwhile, Kunchacko had recently completed shooting for Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s Nna Thaan Case Kodu. The movie, which is also co-produced by Kunchacko, has him playing a North Kerala character named Kozhummal Rajeevan and will have him in a never-seen-before avatar.

The actor has also wrapped up his portions for C U Soon and Malik director Mahesh Narayanan’s Ariyippu. “Mahesh has also written its story, screenplay and dialogues. I believe Ariyippu is his best script yet and I am hoping the movie too turns out that way. We have worked hard to achieve those results. It’s an intense film and I play an intense role in it too. I am eagerly waiting to release the film on big screens,” Kunchacko had exclusively told OTTplay.
