Be it Virus or his latest release Pada, Kunchacko Boban has played several characters that have drawn inspiration from real-life people in the past few years. His latest movie, which is helmed by Jude Anthany Joseph, could once again have him in such a role.

The big budget movie, which is based on the 2018 Kerala floods, has Kunchacko playing an employee of the Kerala land revenue department. The actor, who had joined the film’s sets last week, had shot a few portions and also revealed the details of his character.

Sharing the identity cards of his character Shaji Punnoose, Kunchacko wrote, “Happy to be a small part of this big movie.” The film also has Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Tanvi Ram, Aparna Balamurali and Nikhila Ram as part of the cast.

The movie, produced by Anto Joseph and scripted by Jude and John Manthrickal, had kicked off on May 27 at Irinjalakuda, where they had shot for two days. The plan now is resume shoot on July 5 when the rest of the cast including Tovino will be joining.

However, Asif, who got injured during the shoot of A Ranjith Cinema in Thiruvananthapuram and has been advised rest for a week, is expected to join the film only after he concludes the shooting of the Nishanth Sattu directorial, which has been delayed due to multiple reasons including the pandemic restrictions as well as Asif Ali going into quarantine in Dubai after the actor’s return from a family vacation in Russia.

Meanwhile, Jude’s film, which was earlier titled 2403ft, is expected to have a new name. The film will have one more heroine as well as more actors joining the cast. Earlier, a source from the production team told OTTplay that they were also working out the dates of Vineeth Sreenivasan and Guru Somasundaram, who could also join the cast of the film that is expected to release in theatres in the first quarter of 2023.
