Kunchacko Boban’s Officer On Duty gets a release date; major updates out

Kunchacko Boban, the versatile actor has an exciting lineup of projects in his kitty. The actor-producer is joining hands with newcomer Jithu Ashraf, for an upcoming cop thriller. The movie, titled Office On Duty, is now nearing final stages of its production. As per the latest updates, the Kunchacko Boban starrer is slated to hit the theatres on February 20, 2025, as the actor’s first theatrical release of the year.

Kunchacko Boban, the leading man recently took to his official social media handles and dropped a new poster of Officer On Duty, along with the film’s release date. “Duty Calls, Date is Set!! 20 FEB 2025 – Officer On Duty in Cinemas Worldwide... Duty calls,” reads the popular actor’s Instagram post. In the new poster, Kunchacko Boban is seen in a typical police officer get-up, with a cropped hairdo and thick mustache. The actor’s role in the film is expected to be different from the earlier police character he played.

If the reports are to be believed, the Office On Duty official teaser will be revealed through the social media handles of Kunchacko Boban and other team members, mostly by the last week of January 2025. The official trailer on the other hand, is expected to be out by the mid-February 2025. The upcoming cop drama film produced by filmmaker Martin Prakkat, thus marking his second collaboration with Kunchacko Boban, after Nayattu.

Priya Mani plays the female lead in Office On Duty, which stars Jagadish and Visak Nair in key roles, and Ramzan Muhammed, Anunaya Anoop, Amit Eappen, Leya Mammen, Vishnu G Varrier, Henna Bella, Eithal Evana Sherin, and others are set to play the supporting roles. The Kunchacko Boban starrer is scripted by Shahi Kabir. Roby Varghese Raj is the director of photography. Jakes Bejoy composes the songs and the original score. Chaman Chakko handles the editing.
