Kurban: The poster of Ankush and Priyanka Sarkar’s film is dropped

Ankush and Priyanka Sarkar paired up for the first time in the film Kurban, directed by Saibal Mukherjee. Their looks from the film have already been released. Now, the motion poster of the film has been dropped.

The motion poster shows Ankush standing, holding a cycle, and wearing a kurta and pyjamas. He has a beard and long hair. In the background, a boat is on fire in a river. Ankush tagged Saibal and Priyanka in the post and said that the trailer would be released soon. It is apparent from his post that the film will be released during winter vacation.

Ankush and Priyanka will play Hasan and Hijal, respectively. The story tells the tale of a rural Muslim family in Bengal and will show a new dimension of humanity. In the film, Hasan has his abba, ammi, ammi's adopted sister, her son Hasu, and Hijal. Hasan loves them immensely. Hasan is a sensitive person who looks at life differently than others and this throws grave challenges to him. A storm comes to Hasan's happy family and his values are questioned. The story deals with what he does then.

Earlier, talking about the film, Priyanka had said, “The script reflects sensitivity and a human touch. Every character has a human side and they are all wonderful persons. Though Hijal is an ordinary girl, she can express her demands.” 

Ankush went through a complete makeover with the film. He had said that he went through different layers of feelings to play the role.

Ankush and Priyanka have worked together previously in two films, Bibaho Abhijan and Abar Bibaho Abhijan. But they did not pair up in those films. This is their first time as a duo.

Santilal Mukherjee, Kanchan Mallik, and Buddhadeb Bhattacharya will play other vital roles in the film, which will be released at the end of this year.
