Kurup is one of the most talked-about movies of Dulquer Salmaan for the latest crime-thriller is finally out on big screens and even being reciprocated with positive and overwhelming response. Meanwhile, the Bangalore Days star recently took to social media to convey his appreciation for Tovino Thomas in a heartfelt post.
Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup carries a star-studded cast, which also includes Tovino Thomas in a pivotal cameo role. The Ustad Hotel star lauded the efforts of the Uyare star where he mentioned how deep he got into playing his character in the movie. He referred to Tovino as the “mother of all cameos” for his memorable performance as Charlie in the movie. He also divulged the reason behind the team of Kurup for not mentioning the actor in promos, as they wanted to keep him as a surprise for the viewers. “We have not mentioned you in a single promo or poster because we wanted to keep you as our biggest surprise. And you have been such a gentleman through all of it,” mentioned Dulquer.
Backed by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of Warfarer Films, Kurup speaks of the beginnings of one of the most wanted criminals in India, Sukurama Kurup. Helmed by Srinath Rajendran, the multilingual outing also features Indrajith Sukumaran, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shine Tom Chacko, Sunny Wayne and Tovino Thomas in crucial roles. The crime-thriller earlier opened to positive response and appreciation from both the viewers and critics, especially for the cast performances, its screenplay, narration, music and other background elements.
