Kuruthi is already a much-anticipated socio-political thriller that will drop on Amazon Prime Video on August 11 due to its stellar star cast led by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Roshan Mathew. If you need another reason to look forward to the film, it will also feature action scenes choreographed by Prithviraj.
During the trailer launch of Kuruthi, the film’s director Manu Warrier said, “Prithviraj played a large role in how the film has shaped up. He gets the credit for choreographing the complex action sequences. He is very passionate about it. The way he goes about it is a joy to see unfold.”
The director said that the actor pulled off the sequences without compromise. He also emphasised that blood-sucking leeches in the forests, where a lot of the action sequences were shot, were another challenge that the cast and crew had to face.
The trailer of Kuruthi, which was released last week, hinted at a dark, grim movie with a large number of action sequences. The trailer piqued the interest of the fans further and it will be interesting to see how well the action scenes turn out.
Directed by Manu Warrier, who has previously worked in Hindi cinema, Kuruthi is bankrolled by Supriya Menon under the banner of Prithviraj Productions. The music for Kurithi is composed by Jakes Bejoy and Abinandhan Ramanujan is the cinematographer.
Apart from Prithviraj and Roshan Mathew, the film also has Murali Gopi, Srindaa, Shine Tom Chacko, Mamukkoya and Manikandan Achari playing pivotal roles.
