Dia girl Kushee Ravi is Tollywood bound. The actress, who was supposed to start of her Telugu cinema journey opposite Sundeep Kishan in Vi Anand’s film, had to drop out of the same owing to scheduling conflicts. While she is still committed to collaborate with the team on another future project, in the interim she has signed up for a content-oriented film called Rudra, which will officially mark her entry in Tollywood.
Directed by Bhargava Poludasu, who had earlier made Gatham, Rudra will pair Kushee with the filmmaker. While Bhargava is said to be playing a visually-challenged character, Kushee’s role remains under wraps. The actress, however, says that it is not a typical role that audiences would ideally expect her to do. She adds that seeing her in Rudra will be a big surprise for her fans.
Meanwhile, back home in Kannada, Kushee is a part of an upcoming sci-fi short film that is based on the concept of time travel, wherein she plays someone from 2050, who goes back to the 80s. Also in her kitty is a Kannada-Telugu bilingual called Maarga, with Chetan Kumar, J Karthik and Reeshma Nanaiah, a horror-comedy with Vivek Simha, and two other films, Nakshe and Spooky College, in various stages of production. She is also set to start shooting for her a new Kannada film, which will be helmed by debut director Darshan Apoorva, and features her Dia co-star Pruthvi Ambaar opposite her.
The actress has also been doing a fair share of short films, which she took up to bridge the gap between the release of Dia and her next feature film. While Prasanna VM’s Ikshana, a short film about gender stereotypes, came out a few months, a few days ago it was Prasad Kanteerava’s Sangama Samagama, in which Kushee collaborated with Shri. She’s got another upcoming sci-fi short film called Everything is Possible, as well.
