Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha play the lead roles in the romance drama Kushi, written and directed by Shiva Nirvana that releases in five languages on September 1. Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the film. Nearly a month after the encouraging responses for Kushi’s first single Naa Roja Nuvve, the makers of the film have released its second track, Aradhya today.
Sid Sriram, Chinmayi have sung the soothing number written by the director Shiva Nirvana himself. Hesham Abdul Wahab, who shot to fame with Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Hridayam, is the composer. The track is an absolute delight to the senses with its melodic appeal, focusing on the togetherness and the little joys in the life of a newly married couple and how they appear inseparable.
The number is packed with visuals exploring how both the husband and the wife make time for one another, stay connected even when they’re away and their joy knows no bounds. The duo works in the corporate sector and lead a middle-class life in an apartment. Samantha is cast as a Kashmiri girl in Kushi, going by the promos.
The beauty of the song lies in its portrayal of the little joys and the details that complete the life of the characters. Rohini will be seen as a senior colleague of Vijay Deverakonda. After a few English lines, the song takes the viewer through their marriage day and many of their intimate, eventful moments. Sid Sriram, is in top form, lending a classical touch to the track.
Vijay and Samantha, in their second outing after Mahanati, share a terrific on-screen chemistry. Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya Pradeep play other important roles in the film.
